The Periods Page: .
Sigh.
The poor and humble period.
It ends things. Sentences usually.
But sometimes, for effect.
Just.
Words.
In mathematics the period is used as a decimal point.
But math doesn't count (joke).
On the internet a period is referred to as a "dot".
As in "Peanutbutterdotcom" which is how it's said; it's written as "Peanutbutter.com".
I'm not sure if I'd rather be a dot or a period.
Have you ever doodled with periods?
Try it sometime.
Make pictures by using lots and lots of periods.
This has nothing to do with the period as a punctuation mark, but it's fun, and you need to broaden your horizons anyway.
Periods can most often be found at the end of sentences. They can also indicate abbreviations:
Rd.
St.
Etc.
Your initials: V. H. K. (actually those are my initials)
We also use them to form an Ellipses: . . .or not to be. . .
I'm unable to think of any more uses of the period. If you do, please write me.
